Andy
Deguara is owner and chief engineer here at A&D Studios.
He started his career in music in 1991 as a DJ, doing local
house parties, birthday parties, Anniversary parties, and
other similar events. As his love for music grew, he became
more intrigued on how music is recorded. By 1994 Andy had

fact that his four track recorder had grown to an 8 track
digital recorder, and lots of other recording equipment.
He also started recording his first album by a rap artist
named Blac. That year Andy also started attending Foothill
community college where he took all the recording classes
he could. In 1998 He decided to move to Arizona to attend
The Conservatory
of Recording Arts and Science. At the conservatory Andy
learn from some of the top engineers and producers in the
nation and received his audio engineering degree along with
becoming certified in Avid Pro Tools. In order to graduate,
Andy had to complete a 280 hour internship. He did so in
a studio in Santa Cruz called M.A.R.S. (Music Arts Recording
Studio.), were he worked on everything from country to blue
grass along with names like The Etyps, Larry Hosford Band,
and others. After Andy graduated from the Conservatory,
he started working full time out of his own Studio in his
house. In 2000 Andy opened his current facility. Since opening,
Andy has worked with and received credits from artist like
Messy Marv, Guice, Chunk, Instant Hits, Spice 1, Rappin
4 Tay, Totally Insane, RBL Posse, Mr. Kee, D.U.G.O.U.T.,

Art
De La Cruz is the senior partner and graphic designer here
at A&D Studios. His career as a graphic designer began
in 1989, designing party fliers and the occasional logo.
His real beginning actually was back in 1981 when hip-hop
first appeared on the scene as a new and undiscovered art
form. Appearing for the first time in 1987 as one of the
most talented DJ’s in the bay, he was destined for
greatness. As a DJ he was an undefeated 15-0 with 1 draw,
against DJ Disk in 1991. By 1993 he had a home recording
studio where rappers from Sunnyvale, Mountain View and East
Palo Alto could come in and produce a great sounding track.
The computer market skyrocketed in 1995 due to release of
Microsoft Windows 95, giving designers the ability to be
more creative than ever. Shortly after that he took classes
on the Adobe products and was certified through Adobe as
an (ACE). In 2000 A&D Studios opened and the rest is
history. |
