A&D Studios is a full 24 track analog, and a 40 track Digital recording studio which can handle projects from full bands and album’s, to single person voiceovers and multi media type projects. We can record on either our Studer A-80 2inch 24 track analog recorder, or on 3 Tascam DA-38s which make up 24 of our tracks. The other 16 tracks are made up of 2 Alesis 20bit ADATs which can be synced together with the DA-38’s giving us our 40 tracks. We also offer a Pro Tools system for digital editing and mastering, along with various other programs on both Mac and PC for hard disk recording and sequencing. Our facility is about 800sqft. and is made up of a control room and three recording rooms. Our control room is designed as a live end –dead end room. The use of diffusion and absorption techniques, the room offers a superbly clean and pleasant listening environment. Our main recording room also has been designed as a live end-dead end room allowing for different reflections on instruments depending on placement. Our drum booth has been designed as dead room using manly absorption with some diffusion. The Last Iso Both was left as a very reflective room that is great for small guitar amps. The outside walls of the building are 6inches thick of solid concrete stopping any outside noise from entering the studio. The center piece of our control room is a Mackie 32x8 consol in a custom built desk. All its inputs and outputs along with those of our out board gear is routed threw our patch bay system. Our control room also features microphone pre amplifiers from Neve and an Ampex 1/2in. 2 track mix down deck.
